AI Prompt: Cold Email for Sales Outreach
Short answer: copy the prompt below into any chat AI and fill in the brackets. We ran it in ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini, judged blind: Gemini did best. Gemini is best because it is specific, friendly, and has a single clear call-to-action with a concrete time, making it usable as-is. Claude's biggest weakness is offering two scheduling options, which weakens the single CTA focus.

ChatGPT7.7
Clear and concise, but CTA is vague (next week) and lacks a specific time or urgency.
openai/gpt-5.5
Claude8
Good specifics and flexibility, but two CTAs (call and schedule options) slightly dilute focus.
anthropic/claude-sonnet-5.5
Gemini Best8.3
Direct, specific, single CTA with a concrete time, no jargon, under limit.

How we test: on October 10, 2026 we sent the same message through each model's API (via OpenRouter) with no system prompt: ChatGPT (openai/gpt-5.5), Claude (anthropic/claude-sonnet-5.5), Gemini (google/gemini-3.8-flash). Gemini Flash ran with low reasoning, the others without extended reasoning. The ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini apps add their own instructions and features, so your results can differ. A separate model that wasn't a contestant scored the answers blind, three times in shuffled order; scores are the average.

A week of prompts to try, each tested in ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini, plus the AI news worth your time. Free, one email a week.
The Yinzer BS detector
All three stayed under the limit, so the real difference is Gemini picked ONE ask and gave a time. The other two jags are out here giving prospects multiple escape routes. One call to action, n'at. Simple.
The Professor
The score spread is 0.6 points, which is well within any reasonable margin of subjective evaluation variance. Declaring a winner here is statistically premature, though the CTA critique is methodologically sound.
The Boss hype translator
Gemini nailed the conversion-optimized outreach with frictionless single-CTA alignment. Which just means it asked for one thing instead of confusing the prospect with choices. Claude gave them options and options kill deals.
Karen what's the catch
So this thing writes COLD emails for you?? WHO is getting spammed with this and WHERE did it scrape my name and job title from? I did NOT consent to being a prospect!
