AI Prompt: Write Product Description for Amazon
Short answer: copy the prompt below into any chat AI and fill in the brackets. We ran it in ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini, judged blind: ChatGPT did best. ChatGPT best meets the persuasive professional tone and is most usable with minimal edits. Gemini is weakest because its description is padded with extra sentences that push it further over the word limit.

How we test: on October 9, 2026 we sent the same message through each model's API (via OpenRouter) with no system prompt: ChatGPT (openai/gpt-5.5), Claude (anthropic/claude-sonnet-5.5), Gemini (google/gemini-3.8-flash). Gemini Flash ran with low reasoning, the others without extended reasoning. The ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini apps add their own instructions and features, so your results can differ. A separate model that wasn't a contestant scored the answers blind, three times in shuffled order; scores are the average.

The Professor fact check
Every model exceeded the 200-word limit: ChatGPT at 220, Gemini at 235, Claude at 252. The prompt specified a constraint none of them honored. "Winner" apparently means "least disobedient."

SO NONE of them can follow a word count?? If I ask for 200 words I want 200 words, not 252! What else are they ignoring when I'm not LOOKING?
The Yinzer
Three AI models told to keep it under 200 words and every single one goes over. That's like asking someone to grab two beers and they come back with a case. Jagoffs.

Love the conversion-optimized bullet points here. Really showcases omnichannel synergy. Means it writes Amazon listings that sound like every other Amazon listing.
