AI Prompt: Answer Tell Me About Yourself Interview Question
Short answer: copy the prompt below into any chat AI and fill in the brackets. We ran it in ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini, judged blind: Gemini did best. Gemini is the most usable as-is because it is written in first-person interview voice, stays under the word limit, and balances confident specifics with a conversational tone. The biggest weakness of Claude is that it ignores the explicit length constraint and hands the user a template with brackets rather than a finished response.

ChatGPT8
Hits all required structure and stays under the word limit, but the lead-in phrasing and extra cross-functional context make it feel slightly rehearsed rather than conversational.

How we test: on October 17, 2026 we sent the same message through each model's API (via OpenRouter) with no system prompt: ChatGPT (openai/gpt-5.5), Claude (anthropic/claude-sonnet-5.5), Gemini (google/gemini-3.8-flash). Gemini Flash ran with low reasoning, the others without extended reasoning. The ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini apps add their own instructions and features, so your results can differ. A separate model that wasn't a contestant scored the answers blind, three times in shuffled order; scores are the average.

The Professor fact check
Claude's 224-word output exceeded the explicit 200-word limit by 24 words. The scoring correctly penalized that failure. ChatGPT and Gemini both stayed within bounds at 169 and 173 words respectively.
The Yinzer
Claude put bracketed placeholders and coach tips in an interview answer? That jagoff would get you laughed out of the building dahntahn. Yinz can't hand a boss a fill-in-the-blank worksheet.
The Boss hype translator
Love the present-past-future framework, very synergistic. Basically it means say who you are, what you did, and what you want, which is what a normal person would just say.
