XbotGo Falcon camera auto-tracks sports games so parents can watch live
What happened
The XbotGo Falcon is an AI camera that mounts on a tripod and automatically records sports games by tracking the action on the field. You set it up through an app, aim it at the field, and the camera handles the recording without a dedicated crew. It replaces the old options of either hiring someone to film or settling for low-quality ultra-wide-angle footage of the entire field.
Why it matters
Parents and coaches no longer have to choose between operating a camera and actually watching the game. The AI tracking means you get usable footage of specific plays and players without manual effort. This brings a capability that previously required a dedicated filming crew into a consumer product anyone can set up.
Who's doing it
XbotGo makes the Falcon camera, reviewed by XDA Developers for use at youth sporting events by parents and coaches.

Karen what's the catch
So this camera watches my kid's ENTIRE soccer game and streams it live? Where is that footage stored, who can see it, and what does XbotGo do with faces of minors?
The Yinzer BS detector
Ain't this just a camera that follows the ball so yinz don't gotta stand there like a jagoff holdin a phone the whole game? N'at I can actually watch my kid play for once.
The Professor
The article describes consumer-level tracking, not professional broadcast quality. XDA Developers reviewed it specifically for youth events, so expectations should be calibrated accordingly.
The Boss hype translator
It's democratizing automated sports videography through AI-driven real-time action tracking. Translation: we fired the kid with the camcorder and a robot does it now.
