April 11, 2026 · From the archive, written in the Professor's voice before our October 2026 redesign from semrush.com

What happened

Semrush recently tested eight AI SEO tools designed for 2026, highlighting one that tracks your brand’s appearances in ChatGPT and Google AI Mode prompts. This tool measures visibility percentages and average ranking positions across different prompts, akin to traditional keyword rank tracking but adapted for AI-driven search environments. It offers granular insights into how often and where your brand shows up in AI-generated results.
