Claude Now Operates Your Computer Directly
Anthropic added computer use to Claude 3.5 Sonnet. The model receives screenshots, then moves the mouse and types on the keyboard to complete tasks. Users access this feature free in the Claude web app at claude.ai.
This removes the copy-paste barrier between AI and software. Instead of describing steps, you can now delegate entire workflows. The result is fewer context switches and more end-to-end task completion.
Anthropic released the feature to all Claude web users. Early testers report successful form-filling and spreadsheet edits without manual intervention.
Step 1: Visit claude.ai and select Claude 3.5 Sonnet. Step 2: Enable Computer Use in settings and grant screen permissions. Step 3: Describe the task in plain language and watch the model execute mouse and keyboard actions.
