May 7, 2026 ยท From the archive, written in the Professor's voice before our October 2026 redesign from pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov

What happened

Clinics now rely on 3D facial mapping software, virtual before-and-after planners, and AI-powered skin diagnostic apps like Haut.AI and Perfect Corp's tools. These streamline patient consultations and treatment planning. The review in PMC details applications, challenges, and future directions in aesthetic medicine.

Why it matters

This demonstrates how AI integrates into precise diagnostics and visualization, cutting consultation times and boosting patient buy-in. You will rethink workflows by prioritizing tools that simulate outcomes upfront. Adopt these to make your med spa consultations data-driven and efficient.

Who's doing it

Perfect Corp has powered over 800 million virtual makeup tries via YouCam apps, driving 30% higher conversion rates for partner beauty brands. Their AI skin diagnostics are deployed in thousands of clinics worldwide.

Try it

  1. Visit perfectcorp.com/business/products/ycam-makeup and sign up for their YouCam Makeup SDK demo.
  2. Upload a facial image and use the AI to apply virtual treatments like fillers.
  3. Generate before-and-after visuals to share with patients, expecting 20-30% faster consultation decisions.
