Bryson DeChambeau Uses Google Cloud Deep Learning to Track 30 Body Points Per Swing
The system runs deep learning on 2D and 3D models that identify over 30 anatomical and equipment landmarks on the golfer, club, and ball. It records every phase of the swing including top, impact, follow-through, and finish, then logs the shot outcome. All processing happens inside Google Cloud.

Bryson DeChambeau partnered with Google Cloud to test the system on his own swing data. Early trials produced frame-by-frame swing metrics that DeChambeau now references during practice sessions.
Step 1: Open Google Cloud Vertex AI at https://cloud.google.com/vertex-ai and create a new project. Step 2: Upload 2D and 3D swing videos and enable the Pose Detection model to extract 30+ keypoints. Step 3: Review the generated JSON output for joint angles and timing; compare successive sessions to measure swing changes.
